FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about moving money between Nigeria and Cameroon. Still stuck? We're a message away.

How long does a transfer take?

Most transfers are delivered shortly after we confirm your payment. Exact timing depends on the receiving bank or mobile money provider — you'll get a notification the moment it lands.

Which currencies can I send?

Both directions between Nigeria and Cameroon: Naira (NGN) to CFA franc (XAF), and CFA back to Naira.

How do I pay for a transfer?

After you confirm the details, we show you the account to pay into — a Nigerian bank account when you're sending Naira, or mobile money when you're sending CFA. Once you've sent it, tap "I paid" and we take it from there.

What does it cost?

There's no transfer fee. You get a live exchange rate with no hidden markup, so the amount you see is the amount your recipient gets.

How is the exchange rate set?

The Naira → CFA rate is pulled live from our rates provider and refreshed regularly. The reverse direction tracks that same live rate. Your rate is locked the moment you start a transfer.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Smaller transfers work right away. To send above 300,000 XAF you'll verify your ID once — usually within 1 business day.

Is my money safe?

Sendchrono is licensed in Cameroon and Nigeria. Payments are protected with bank-level encryption, and we never store your card or wallet credentials.
